This blog is an answer to a prayer! I was praying to God to show me a way in which I could share the studies, thoughts and amazing things God continually does for me, and through an amazing trip to Germany, I learnt about this tool called a blog. So I praise God that I have one now, and that I can share with you the things I learn from His Word, His creation and the scenarios I find myself in!
This blog will be updated (through God's strength) twice a week. On Friday, I will post a study and thought which God has taught me, and the plan is that we will work through a series of studies, and so there will be a progression along the way! I will (once again, through God's strength- John 15:5) post another little thought that God leads me to post, whether it be a song, a poem, a video, a few texts of encouragement... or something else!
For clarification, all the texts used are from the KJV unless otherwise stated.
I also will have another page called Prayers Answered! I believe God answers prayers, in fact, Jesus Himself spoke a lot about this. Notice:
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"
Matthew 7:7-11-emphasis supplied
Jesus does not say ask, and it may be given to you, He says ask, and it shall be given to you! And in another text, we have some more detail added unto this:
"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."
(1 John 5:14-15)
Now, how do we know God's will? From reading and studying the Bible! So if we ask anything according to the boundaries God's will sets, believing that we shall receive (see Mark 11:24), we shall have them! You may think, well, that is no fun, I can only ask what is in according to God's will? Well yes! But remember, the Father wants to give us good things! In fact, the Bible says:
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."
(James 1:17)
God is NOT going to give us that which is bad, it only may seem bad because we ourselves do not want the good thing which God gave us! So I will be posting the answered prayers, so that you may be encouraged and see that God answers prayers, and then pray to Him yourself! (And share on the comments what God did for you too!)
There will also be another page called "Promises to Claim". On this page, there will be various promises from the Bible for ALL OF US to claim! Notice this in 2 Peter 1:4:
There will also be another page called "Promises to Claim". On this page, there will be various promises from the Bible for ALL OF US to claim! Notice this in 2 Peter 1:4:
"Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."
We are told to claim the promises, so that we may be a partaker of the divine nature! Claim the promises to take hold of the strength of the God of the universe... POWERFUL!
All in all, I pray that this page does not bring glory to me, but glory to Jesus Christ, because I surely would not be here if it wasn't for Him, so I pray this page points you to Him!
God Bless,
Adam
